Momoh Obaro picks APC senatorial forms for Kogicentral

Kogi born businessman and economist Chief Momoh Y. Obaro has obtained the All Progressives Congress, APC, nomination, and expression of interest forms in furtherance of his quest to represent Kogi Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

The frontline aspirant, who doubles as the Secretary of the APC in the United Kingdom, UK, was among the first set of public office seekers to buy the forms, which was kickstarted Tuesday, 28 April by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The forms were picked for the president by his confidant and national assembly member from Lagos State; James Abiodun Faleke.

Obaro, who was accompanied to Sheraton Hetels where the forms were being sold, by a large crowd of jubilant supporters from his constituency commended the exercise, describing it as hitch-free and transparent.
He said he was drawn to politics by his desire to contribute his quota to the development of the country and uplifting the standard of living of the common man.

“The desire to go to the Senate is not about me, really. It is about an age long hunger for a better society. I believe that the task of developing the nation and riding it of the various vices plaguing it belongs to all of us. We can no longer live the future of our country to professional politicians alone. It is time for everyone to join hands to make our country what it ought to be.”

Obaro, also a software engineer, noted that inclusiveness, fairness, and a level playing ground are key to the survival of any democracy and praised the ruling party for initiating a credible process.

The purchase has laid to rest months of speculation and uncertainty over his political ambition, even as it spurred enormous interest from his widening grassroots supporters back home and in the diaspora.
