Kogieast APC Ticket: Group supports Erico Ameh’s victory

A pressure group within the All Progressives Congress, APC, the All Comrades Alliance for Tinubu, ACAT, has thrown its weight behind the alleged victory of Dr. Joe Erico Ahmeh, one of the aspirants to the Kogieast senatorial race of the party.

The senatorial primary was held nationwide on Monday, 18 May, with a standing instruction that results could only be announced by the National Working Committee, NWC, in Abuja.

However, ACAT, at a press briefing, addressed by its State Coordinator, Oguche Richard, on Tuesday in Lokoja, hinted at Eriko’s emergence from results released at the polling units in the senatorial district.

The group affirmed the credibility of the poll in all parts of Kogieast, and insisted that anyone who is against its outcome must be doing so for selfish reasons.

“The overwhelming participation of party members clearly showed that the APC remains united and strong. The outcome is a true reflection of the aspirations of our people,” Oguche said.

The group commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for creating an enabling environment for internal democracy within the party, and praised the APC leadership for ensuring a smooth and transparent process.

ALCAT also applauded former Governor Yahaya Bello for his commitment to political inclusiveness, and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his leadership and dedication to unity in the state.

According to the group, Dr. Erico’s emergence is a “victory for democracy, party unity, and the collective aspiration of the people,” citing his credibility, leadership capacity, and commitment to the progress of Kogi East.

Oguche urged aggrieved members to accept the outcome in the spirit of sportsmanship and party loyalty. He expressed confidence that Dr. Erico would be magnanimous in victory and carry all stakeholders along.

“We stand firmly with Dr. Erico, with the APC, and with truth and justice. The credibility of this process should not be subjected to unnecessary controversy,” he added.
