APC postpones reps primaries

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed its House of Representatives primary election from Friday, May 15, to Saturday, May 16.

The exercise is part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.

National Publicity Secretary, Mr Felix Morka, announced the adjustment in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja.

“Previously announced dates for Senate, State Assembly, governorship and presidential primaries remain unchanged,” Morka said.

He said the revised timetable would proceed as follows:

House of Representatives — Saturday, May 16.

Senate — Monday, May 18.

State House of Assembly — Wednesday, May 20.

Governorship — Thursday, May 21.

Presidential — Saturday, May 23, 2026.
