Lady down with kidney disease, needs N30 million

A young lady and potential music sensation, Kehinde Onilewura has made a passionate appeal to governments, corporte bodies, and well-meaning Nigerians to save her soul from a life-threatening condition, diagnosed as Chronic Kidney Disease, CKD. She made the appeal during a recent brief interview with The News/ Pm News in Ibadan.

The sickness temporarily forced her out of her job and compelled her to undergo dialysis twice a week. The only permanent solution is a kidney transplant estimated at N30 million, an amount far above her means and that of her retiree mother.

“I have a strong desire to live, but I’m here dying by the day because of the huge money I need for treatment. I’m appealing to Nigerians of all walks of life to please help me. I’m full of potential and dreams. No amount is too small. May God not make us a burden for others to bear…”

Kehinde, a very lifely graduate of the University of Ibadan, came down with a series of ailments that culminated in the kidney disease shortly after she lost her identical twin sister some years ago. She abandoned her post-graduate studies in public health because of the disease.
