Kogi is Safe For Business, says Fanwo

To live up to its nickname as a confluence of opportunities and improve living conditions, the Kogi State Government has restated it’s commitment to providing the right environment for wealth creation and business growth.

Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo stated this at the impact tour of Kogi by convergence of Africa. He said that Governor Ahmed Ododo is working hard on security, adding that the state is safe for businesses to flourish without drawbacks,

Fanwo commended the “Convergence of Africa Transgenerational connections” for building alliances and leveraging for a sustainable business future in the state.

He said that the business remodeling with target audience in the fashion, food, and fitness will help participants to champion a course aimed at promoting intra regional trade, harmonisation of investment policies for the state and Africa.

“We encourage them to leverage in networking and collaboration with other business owners, for them to grow their businesses. They are also encouraged on how to network and a handshake across the board. No one can do it alone.

According to the Commissioner, the 32-year Development Plan of the government was deliberate, knowing fully well that the maximum any administration can spend is 8 years. “But the development plan is designed for 32 years, which means it is a very ambitious plan that will ultimately take the state to an enviable height.

“We are very religious about the implementation of the plan. At the end of the day, Kogi will be where we want it to be in terms of development.

The Convener, convergence of Africa, Barr. Patient Olusiyi said that the initiative became imperative for a sustainable business future, adding that the aim was to capture 150 participants.

She disclosed that Kogi is the first among ten states to be visited by her team. “We will train participants in the fashion, food, and fitness businesses aimed at improving their objectives as well as setting a pace for generations yet unborn to achieve excellence without dependence. We want a situation where businesses can out-live their owners.”
