I have remedies against cholera, fibroid, others, says herbal practitioner

Following the recent outbreak of cholera and reported loss of lives from the disease across Nigeria, a traditional medical practipner, Stephen Arokoyo has called on the federal, state and local governments to consider the use of herbal medicines in the treatment of the disease.

Arokoko, who runs the Baba Lowe Alagunmu Centre, made this known on Wednesday in Lokoja while speaking with newsmen. He claimed to have successfully treated more than 10 Cholera patients who recovered within hours of commencing treatment.

He said tf herbal remedy is quicker and more reliable in treating cholera compared to orthodox medicine.

Arokoyo, who lives in Aiyetoro Gbede in Ijumu council area of Kogi State, said he was willing to offer his service in treating people who are down with the ailment and associate conditions.

He said aside from cholera, he has also been able to treat fibroids, migraines, diabetes and other ailments successfully with the use of herbs and roots.

He added that he has being applying  herbal medication in treating various diseases for the past 30 years; a profession he said he inherited from his father, along with other teachings he learnt from those in the trado medical line.

He also stated his desire to travel to meet patients wherever they are if the patients require home service.
