Sources said the attackers stormed the town through one of the major entry routes, firing sporadically as they advanced. The assault triggered widespread panic, with vehicles abandoned on the road as people scrambled for cover.

Eyewitnesses reported sustained gunfire echoing across parts of the community as the terrorists moved deeper into the town.
