CRIN ED, Dr. Adebola charges Nigerians on support for FG, love, and peace

Nigeria is showing signs of recovery from its economic challenges, an indication that the days of wailing are coming to an end. The citizenry has, therefore, been charged to be hopeful and continue to support President Bola Tinubu and his team in the arduous task of pulling the country out of the woods.

A plant geneticist and executive director, ED, Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria, CRIN, Dr. Patrick Adebola gave the charge in his yuletide goodwill message to the CRIN community, the good people of Kogiwest senatorial district, and indeed all Nigerians.

The renowned scientist assured that the institute that he heads will continue to explore programs targeted at meeting the food and agricultural needs of the nation as it has always done since its establishment 6o years ago.

Adebola felicitated with the leaders and the people across the board for witnessing this festive season and urged them to celebrate in moderation and thanksgiving.

“The more we cast our minds back to the upheavals of the last few years, the more we realise without doubts that it is a big privilege to be alive at a time like this. In spite of the uncertainties of the past, our country is gradually finding its voice among the commity of nations.

“Certainly, the passing year did not come without its loads of challenges for us as individuals and as a people. But God saw us through them all and preserved us for greater exploits.
Jesus Christ, the reason for the season preached love, peace, and sacrificial giving. As we celebrate, may we not lose focus on the vital lessons of his life. Let us remember the less privileged and commit to the needs of others.

“I call on all men of faith to pray for the good of our fatherland. As we celebrate, I urge us to pay attention to safety and traffic rules. Avoid extreme conditions of gluttony and drunkeness. Do everything in moderation.
