National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, is expected to lead the array of signatories that will grace a pioneer football tournament of the party organized in partnership with Miss Football Nigeria. It is scheduled to take place 3pm on Wednesday, 21 August, at Old Parade Ground, Area 10, Abuja.
National Coordinator of the tournament, Ambassador Moses Ebahor, who disclosed ithis n a statement made available to newsmen on Monday morning added that the theme of the tournament is
“Unity in diversity, say no to drugs and youth restiveness”
“We are honored to announce that His Excellency Abdulahi Umar Ganduje, National Chairman, APC, will be the Special Guest of Honour at the ceremony.
“This prestigious tournament aims to promote unity, sportsmanship, and entertainment among Nigerians, while showcasing the talents of young footballers from across the country.
“It is also in tandem with the youth empowerment and engagement components of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.”
The statement added that the opening ceremony will feature colorful procession of participating teams, thrilling opening match, cultural performances and special appearances by dignitaries and football legends.
“The tournament will bring together teams from various states, competing for the coveted trophy and prizes. This event is a testament to APC’s commitment to youth development, national unity, and sports promotion.
