Gov. Ododo Mourns Demise of Alh. Bamanga Tukur

Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of former Governor of the old Gongola State and former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Bamanga Mohammed Tukur.

Governor Ododo described the death of the elder statesman as a great loss to Nigeria, particularly coming at a time when the country continues to draw from the experience and wisdom of leaders who contributed significantly to its political and socio-economic development.

In a condolence message, the Governor described Alhaji Tukur as a prominent Nigerian whose contributions to public service, business and national politics spanned several decades.

He noted that the late former Governor served the country in various capacities, including as Governor of the old Gongola State and Minister of Industries , leaving behind a legacy of service and extensive experience in public affairs.

Governor Ododo said Alhaji Tukur’s involvement in national politics placed him among the generation of Nigerian leaders who played important roles in shaping the country’s political development.

The Governor extended his condolences to the family of the deceased, the government and people of Adamawa State, and all associates and friends of the late elder statesman.

He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, grant him Aljannah Firdaus and give his family the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
