The Dangote Cement Plc has donated motorcycles to the Lokoja Local Government Area, Kogi State. The move is part of the Corporate Social Respobsibility, CSR, efforts of the company to strengthen the government’s capacity against insecurity and criminalities.
The motorcycles were presented by the Plant Director, Dangote Cement Plc, Obajana, Engr. Azad Nawabuddin, to the Chairman of the LGA, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu.
Speaking at the event, Azad commended the state government and chairman of the council for their sustained effort to rid the state of insecurity and criminalities. The donation of the motorcycles, he noted, will go a long way in aiding the capacity of the local government and the state in combating criminalities.
In his response, the chairman expressed his happiness on the gesture and extended his appreciation to Alhaji Aliko Dangote for this support. He also commended Azad for facilitating the good gesture, while assuring him of continuing support of the LGA
“The presence of the company has helped transformed the local government,” he said.
