Intellectual Schools reassureIntellectual School reassures on All – round development of students

With its curriculum focused on skills acquisition, computer/ information technology, and sports, building a well-rounded man of development in learning and character is the mission of Intellectual Schools, Abuja.

Chief Momoh Obaro, an economist and chairman of the institution’s board of governors who disclosed this weekend during the 2024 speech and prize giving day added that the school aims at 75% excellence mark for its pupils and students in all examinations.

He therefore called on governments at all levels, well meaning individuals and non-governmental organisations, to partner with the school in order to realise the dream of its founders.

Three sets of pupils and students graduated from the institution at the ceremony. They were those of Nursery 2, Primary 5, and Jss 3. Agili Kesha and Eze Prince stole the show during the prize giving session with three awards in the kitty each.

A respected professor of law and author, Adamu Kyuka Usman, was chairman of the ceremony. He commended the school for its excellent teaching and learning environment, noting that with the type of talents on display, he had no doubts the graduands would capture their worlds.

He compared vocational education to a farm that could feed people. “The school has stepped up very well. I am impressed with the level of infrastructure development and the inclusion of entrepreneurial and computer studies in the curriculum. These are the keys to the future that any visionary institution must embrace.”

The school’s Proprietress, Mrs Eneire Jemimah Obaro, recalled the institution’s journey of two decades from a rented apartment to their permanent site. She thanked the parents for their supports which she said helped the institution to weather the storm to achieve full accreditation as a centre for major examinations.

Comrade Noah Emmanuel, President of the Nigerian Non Gorvermental Association for Literacy Support Services NOGALS, said he was impressed with the performances of the students, promising that his organisation would collaborate with the school in the days ahead. He described Intellectuals Schools as deserving of support in view of its literacy impact and vowed to rally other organisations to support it.

Located on a big expanse of land close to the Nigerian Correctional Centre, Karu, Intellectuals School was established in 2004. It has well equipped science labotaries, skills acquisition centre and sporting facilities. Its serene and secured environment are other factors that make it distinct.

The ceremony was witnessed by students, parents, traditional and religious leaders, opinion moulders, and members of the security agencies.
