Kogi: Commissioner charges information officers on reportage

Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo has charged the Information Officers to be diligent, effective, efficient, strategic and meticulous in discharging their duties in their different Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

According to Segun Adegboyega, an Information Officer, the Commissioner gave the charge to his office during a meeting with the officers.

Fanwo encouraged them to create a friendly and professional atmosphere with their principals and the entire staff of the MDAs, noting that, by so doing, would make their work environment conducive and convenient.

Speaking further, the Commissioner reiterated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s unwavering commitment and support towards taking the state to greater heights through revolutionary developments in different sectors.

Fanwo charged the officers to ensure that the government’s activities, programmes, and policies are disseminated to the citizens through appropriate media and at the right time stressing that it is one of their responsibilities.

In an opening remark the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Teddy Adegbola, represented by the Director of Administration, Yakubu Abdul, commended the commissioner for his leadership style and passion for effective and efficient information disemination on government policies and programmes

He also appreciated governor Ododo for his unwavering support and commitment to the development of the Ministry.

In attendance were directors and staff of the ministry.
